Focused on building a supportive network of exceptional veterinary practices in the UK

We are delighted to announce that our portfolio company Kin Vet Community has acquired Willett House Veterinary Surgeons, a well established and highly respected group of eight practices, that has operated as an independent group in Southwest London for over 100 years.

This development comes alongside the acquisition of Reed Veterinary Surgeons, a practice supporting pets in and around Royston, Hertfordshire for nearly 20 years.

These acquisitions represent Kin’s ongoing commitment to building an outstanding veterinary community focussed on three key pillars; maintaining the highest standards of wellbeing for veterinary practitioners, services to clients, and care to pets.  They also reinforce Kin Vet Community’s commitment to delivering exceptional care and enhancing services in local communities.  The Kin Vet Community has doubled in size in 2024, following these two acquisitions.

Both Willet and Reed are well-invested practices with exceptional capabilities, operated by teams that focus on delivering the highest quality of service and care.  Willett’s directors; Leigh Sobye, Gerard Clarke, and Aaron Hunt will continue as practice leaders and will engage within the collaborative culture of Kin Vet Community.

Gurinder Sunner, Partner at Perwyn, commented: “We were delighted to enter the veterinary sector one year ago; by acquiring a collection of veterinary clinics to create a new group, Kin Vet Community.  These new additions to that group further enhance its collaborative care model, and exemplify Kin Vet Community’s dedication to fostering a strong, community-oriented network.

“The business remains focused on building a supportive base of excellent veterinary practices, which excel in delivering high-quality care. The integration of Willett and Reed is another significant step towards achieving this mission.”

Ciara McCormack MVB MRCVS, CEO of Kin Vet Community, said: “We are delighted to welcome Willett and Reed to Kin Vet Community. Their commitment to exceptional veterinary care and community support aligns perfectly with our vision.

“We all share the aim of nurturing our team and enabling them to deliver the best care in their communities. We look forward to working together to grow and enhance our services for pets and their owners.”

The integration of Willett and Reed into Kin Vet Community is the next stage in an evolution that will see practices moving forward with a full complement of staff.  Kin Vet Community remains interested in hearing from like-minded independent practices interested in becoming part of a collaborative community looking to uphold the highest standards and provide the best quality of service and care.
